RESUME VS. CURRICULUM VITAE
Resume or CV
A resume and curriculum vitae are almost similar in the sense that both provides an outline of the credentials of an applicant.

However, the two documents vary in content and scope. Curriculum vitae is longer than a resume it may be two or more pages as it provides a more detailed synopsis of the skills and qualifications of an applicant whereas a resume is only one or two pages summary of skills, experience and education.

A curriculum vitae details the applicant's educational background, teaching and research experience, awards received, affiliations, published works and presentations made.
Unlike a resume, this document is utilized in applying for fellowships or grants, applying for position overseas, academic, scientific or research positions. Like a resume, the curriculum vitae also has different kinds depending on the position desired.
